2024:

• In preparation for construction, professional conservators removed all panels from the Mahony Cartoon Frieze and stored them on-site. Replicas of the original panels are displayed in the grill room, accompanied by an interpretive panel that documents their history.

2024:

• Updated plans have been developed and are being prepared for NPS, which will usher them through the historic review agencies - a big win for WCC! If all goes well, permitting and further renovation planning will happen in 2025 with WCC breaking ground late in the year.

2023:

• Complete Geotechnical Engineering Survey and Environmental Site Assessment
• Engage CGSArchitects and consultant team brought on board
• Cultural Landscape Report is completed by the NPS

2022:

• DC HPO concurred that the undertaking will have No Adverse Effect
• NPS Issued Letter of No Adverse Effect
• Section 1-6 Consulting Parties Meeting #1

2021:

• Informed by several previous studies, a Historic Structures Report and East Bay Assessment Report are produced by EHT Traceries historic preservation firm.
